A few weeks ago on I had a chance to experience the Down exhibition by New York City based artist Kehinde Wiley at the Deitch Project Gallery in New York’s Soho. The artist is skilled portrait painting tradition. His work is larger than life and is best viewed in the gallery, go check it out.

I’ve traveled to a few of the most creatively inspiring cities in the world and the common thread among them are the every present displays of creativity on the street. On a recent trip to Europe I stopped in Paris and Lisbon two cities with exceptional talents in street art. In Paris you can see delivery trucks decorated with it moving around the city you even you see it’s influence in museums and galleries.

While in Paris I visited the famed Centre Pompidou it currently features a great collection of modern art and a few pieces reflect the Street Art style.

In Lisbon I visited The Berardo Collection which also has an amazing collection of modern art from a single collector.
